The 1994 elections heralded a new era of hope for South Africans, including those with disabilities.
The government has put in place a robust policy framework to affirm and advance persons with disabilities. Life has improved for many persons with disabilities and their families since 1994.

But lack of impactful implementation of public policy through strategic partnerships, and persistent negative stereotypes associated with disabilities have left too many behind.

I left the public service at the beginning of 2020 to champion action that changes the narrative for persons with disabilities and their families.  My focus is on both the individual with a disability and environmental factors that disable and marginalise them.

My clients benefit from the knowledge, skills and insights I developed over 30+ years working in frontline service delivery, at senior management level in the public service, as a full-time political office-bearer, at the international level and within the NGO and social enterprise sectors.
